Cheeseburgers with Wedges

Dinner 60 min Serves 4

Juicy homemade beef burgers with melted cheese and crispy paprika wedges.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 220C (200C fan). Cut the potatoes into wedges.
  2. Toss the wedges with the oil, paprika and some salt and pepper on a large tray. Roast for 35 to 40 minutes, turning once, until golden and crisp.
  3. Meanwhile, season the mince with salt and pepper and shape into patties, one per person. Press a small dip into the middle of each so they stay flat as they cook.
  4. Slice the tomatoes and red onion and separate the lettuce leaves.
  5. Heat a large frying pan over a medium-high heat. Fry the burgers for 4 to 5 minutes each side, until cooked through with no pink in the middle.
  6. Put a cheese slice on each burger for the last minute so it melts.
  7. Toast the buns.
  8. Build the burgers with ketchup, lettuce, tomato and onion, and serve with the wedges.
